Although universal health care would be beneficial to the citizens of the United States their are still those that argue that universal health care would hurt the U.S. An article by Fitness and Weekly Health magazine stated that "Implementing a universal health care system causes an increase in taxes as the system needs to be paid for"(Healthcare Coverage). Now these people would argue that an increase in taxes would upset the U.S public. But it has been shown by the Examining Healthcare article that "The entire population spreads around the cost of the health care system so everyone can at least get the basic care that they need"(Newman). The support given to the whole U.S population outweighs the negligible increase in taxes that would come from the universal health care. The taxes put on the people would also be significantly lower than the average cost of healthcare in the U.S right now. It would also supplement the U.S economy and improve the overall social standing of U.S citizens especially the lower class.
